Slimming Yoga Poses
Yoga can be an effective way to support weight loss and achieve a slimmer physique. Here are two slimming yoga poses that can help you tone your body and increase flexibility:
1. Boat Pose (Navasana): Sit on the mat with your legs extended in front of you. Bend your knees, lift your feet off the ground, and balance on your sitting bones. Keep your spine straight and extend both arms forward parallel to the floor. Engage your core muscles as you hold this pose for several breaths, gradually increasing the duration over time. Boat pose strengthens abdominal muscles, improves digestion, and stimulates the thyroid gland.
2. Warrior II Pose (Virabhadrasana II): Begin by standing with feet hip-width apart. Step one foot back about 3-4 feet distance while keeping both heels aligned. Rotate the back foot slightly inward at a 45-degree angle while keeping hips facing forward. Extend arms out parallel to the floor, reaching actively through fingertips in opposite directions. Gaze over the front hand while bending deeply into the front knee until it aligns above ankle level but doesn't extend beyond toes' line of sight.Warrior II pose targets thighs, calves, shoulders, chest muscles along with stimulating abdominal organs.
